One company, two names
IAS Remodeling of Katy is the Katy-focused arm of IAS Boutique Remodeling, a residential remodeling company founded in Houston in 2019 by Idan Shalom. There is no separate crew and no franchise arrangement behind the name. The same ownership, the same team, and the same insurance stand behind every project, whichever site it arrives through — and the company is fully insured, with insurance documentation available on request. The business address is 1200 Post Oak Blvd, Suite 3114, Houston, TX 77056.
In the founder's words
IAS Boutique Remodeling was created with a simple goal: to make the remodeling process clear, organized, and reliable for homeowners.
After years of working in the remodeling industry, I kept seeing the same problems repeated across projects — poor communication, inconsistent crews, and homeowners left stressed by unclear expectations. I built this company to offer a better experience.
We're a locally based team in Houston that manages projects directly from start to finish. Whether we're remodeling a kitchen, updating a bathroom, or building an addition, we take the time to understand what matters to the homeowner and plan the work carefully before construction begins.
Our focus is on clear communication, dependable timelines, and quality workmanship that holds up over time. We believe remodeling should feel structured and predictable, not overwhelming.

Why a Katy-focused company
Katy sits close to Houston on a map and differs from it in most of the ways that matter to a remodel. The housing stock is different: Katy's neighborhoods were built across several distinct decades, and a home from the early nineties calls for different work than one finished ten years ago. The approvals are different: depending on where a Katy home sits — inside the city limits or in the surrounding unincorporated areas — different offices review the work, with genuinely different rules about what needs a permit. And the ground is different: soil conditions in the Katy area vary from parcel to parcel and behave differently than much of central Houston, which matters whenever a project touches structure or adds foundation.
A contractor who treats Katy as an outer edge of somewhere else ends up guessing at those differences. This company exists so they get planned for instead — you can read more about how on our Katy page.
What working with us looks like
Every project starts the same way: a site walk, an honest conversation about what you want, and a free estimate with a written scope detailed enough to hold us to. From there, approvals are sequenced ahead of demolition, trades are scheduled in the order the building requires, and the same team that scoped the work manages it through close-out. If your project spans more than one trade or more than one room, that coordination is most of what you are hiring — you can see how we run a multi-trade project end to end.
Whether it is one bathroom or the whole house, the standard is the same: clear communication, dependable follow-through, and work that still looks right years later.
